How to Send Xero Customer Statements in Excel

More and more customers — especially larger ones reconciling supplier accounts in spreadsheets — ask for statements in Excel, not PDF. Some won't accept PDFs at all. In Xero, that request is harder than it should be: the "Customer statements — Export to Excel" idea has hundreds of votes, and the answer is still a workaround.
What Xero can do natively
- Statements are emailed as PDF only. The Send Statements flow has no file-format choice.
- The workaround: run Reporting → Aged Receivables (filtered to the customer), Export → Excel, tidy the rows, and attach it to an email yourself. It works, but it isn't branded like a statement, it's manual per customer, and it's easy to filter wrongly.
Emailing real Excel statements
